Embers holiday club
Embers Club is Fire and Fell's outdoor holiday club for 3-8 year olds. Each session is packed with hands-on activities, including outdoor cookery, arts and crafts, den-building, nature discovery and tool use.
Rooted in the forest school ethos, sessions are play-based and child-led, giving children the freedom to explore at their own pace with the support of qualified practitioners. Sessions run 9am–3pm, go ahead in all weathers and include snacks throughout the day.
The activity days take place at our pop-up site in Caldbeck. Directions will be given once booked. There are no toilets on our site but we have a camping toilet for everyone to use.
What we'll do
Our sessions are outdoors, child-led and play-based. Children have the space and freedom to play outdoors however they choose — building dens, making mud pies, swinging in hammocks and playing games with their friends!
We also always have structured activities each session on offer. These could include; tool use campfire cooking, outdoor crafts and games. No two sessions are the same. The only constant is smiling faces and muddy knees at the end of the day.
What to bring:
A packed lunch
Sturdy shoes
Waterproof jacket and trousers
Sun hat, sun tan lotion
A packed lunch
A refillable water bottle — fresh air and adventure is thirsty work!
A spare change of clothes is always great to have just in case.

Inclusivity
Our holiday clubs are open to all children. The outdoors is a brilliant environment for neurodivergent children and those with additional needs, and we strive to make every child feel welcome. Between us, our staff have twenty years' experience working with SEND students in the outdoors.
We currently work on a ratio of 1:8, and children attending would need to be able to participate with this level of support. Please get in touch before booking if you'd like to discuss your child's needs and check suitability.
